Complete reopening planned at AVD

Val d´Or, April 30, 2020.

Dear customers, suppliers and partners,

The provincial government announced Tuesday, April 28th , the reopening of the economy and businesses by economic sectors[1].

AVD is classified in the “manufacturing companies” category and since we have a team of less than 50 employees, we will therefore be authorized to carry out a complete reopening on May 11, 2020. We therefore intend to carry out a complete reopening from this date[2] [3].

At this very moment, we are already operating at a minimum level in order to meet the essential demands of priority companies. We took the opportunity to proactively and exemplarily apply the sanitary measures prescribed by the government and various organizations such as the CNESST[4], so we are ready to reopen in full compliance on May 11, 2020.

Regarding our delivery times, we would like to specify that as long as there is no remedy found against the Covid-19 and that the situation therefore remains precarious and volatile, we cannot give any guarantee on our mentioned delivery times in our quotes. However, you can be assured that our team will do everything in their power, as usual, to meet these deadlines and over-deliver if possible.

Regarding customer service. At AVD, we have a reputation for having a helpful team ready to go in the field at any time. This is important to us and we intend to keep this aspect, however there will be changes. Given the situation, we need to reduce travel to the minimum and strictly necessary. The AVD team will make maximum use of the available technological means of communication and videoconferencing before having to travel. We call on the collaboration of our customers in this regard and to adopt means of communication favoring distancing too.

Regarding visits to our facilities. Only deliveries will be received without an appointment and made outside of the building, when possible. We ask our customers to use delivery methods rather than picking up the goods in person. If necessary, you will need to make an appointment and you will be subject to the same checks as our employees at the entrance. As for our essential subcontractors, you will have access in the same way as our employees.

The situation can change from hour to hour. We invite you to stay aware of new developments via your email box, also follow us on social media to stay informed. More information on our website: www.avddrills.com

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us using the contact details at the bottom of the page or through your usual AVD contacts.

Thank you for your understanding,

The AVD Management Team.
